Jenny Woodward OAM is a very familiar face to Queenslanders, from Burketown to Birdsville, and Cape York to Coolangatta as ABC TV News weather presenter.
Jenny began her television career at Channel 10/4/5a in Toowoomba before moving to Brisbane in the 1980’s to join Channel 7.
Since joining ABC News, Jenny has presented the weather from a huge variety of locations across the State, including the EKKA where she is usually surrounded by unruly animals and birds. She has also presented national weather bulletins on ABC News Channel and is a familiar voice on ABC Radio.
She performed her one-woman stage show, Weathering Well, across Queensland in 2021-22 including 6 sellout shows at Brisbane Powerhouse. She has worked in the industry for over 40 years and was made a Fellow of the University of Southern Queensland in 2021 and awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2024.
