Winner of the 2020 National Council of Women of Queensland (NCWQ)’s Science Bursary Award, Emerald’s ultimate life goal is to become an astronaut on future lunar or mars missions. She is currently working at the crossroads of quantum physics verging on neuroscience and artificial intelligence. Emerald seeks to spark curiosity in the minds of the public and inspire future STEM professionals.
This program explores Science as a Human Endeavour and Science Inquiry, with key curriculum links in in Physical Science for Years P-6 and Earth Science for Years 1,3,5.
Emerald Gaydon is a physics research student at the University of Queensland, Administrator of the UQ Science Demo Troupe and 2024 Rhodes Scholar.
