Jim Carrey plays Truman Burbank, a seemingly average man who has no idea that his whole life has been part of a carefully controlled TV show that is watched around the world. Both a satire and a thoughtful reflection on what makes a life well-lived, this world within a world is a prescient study of days lived in front of a camera lens.
