Join native plant expert Paul Donatiu and the Queensland Threatened Plant Network on an enlightening 1-hr guided tour of the Crebra Circuit, Samford Conservation Park, on Saturday 28 March 2026 at 9 am.
Queensland is the most biodiverse state in Australia, with more than 14,000 species of native plants or plant-like species such as algae and lichens. More than 800 of these are listed as threatened under the Queensland Nature Conservation Act 1992 and the federal Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, making up some 74% of Queensland’s threatened species.
Many threatened plants are both poorly known and under-surveyed, which is why the Queensland Threatened Plant Network Flora Discovery Project is so vital to their continued existence. From eucalypts to ground orchids, learn how to identify plants and get involved in exploring Queensland’s incredible floral diversity.
