Ann Göth

Dr Ann Göth was born in Austria and began birdwatching at an early age. Her career as an ecologist began with a conservation project on an endangered megapode in Tonga and later brought her to Australia, where she researched the Australian Brush-turkey for both her PhD and postdoctoral work.

She subsequently lectured at Macquarie University and prepared recovery plans for endangered species for the NSW Government. Ann now shares her passion for nature and science as a high school teacher in Sydney.

She has authored several books on Australian brush-turkeys and other megapodes, and is about to publish a new book on urban wildlife with Professor Darryl Jones.
