Stacey Thomson, more affectionately known as Ranger Stacey, is a radio and television personality who will host the City of Science Stage at Rainforest Green, South Bank Parklands, bringing you servings of free science-y entertainment to surprise and delight throughout the day.

Conspiracy of One) is on a mission to meld science and critical thinking together with catchy music, interesting observations and his signature sense of humour. He is one of two people in the world with a PhD in science show performance, not that he’ll get all academic on you during his shows!  | Mal Webb and Kylie Morrigan Vocal adventurer, multi-instrumentalist and looping beatboxing songwriter Mal sings his brain provoking songs using all sorts of vocal techniques, guitar, mbira, slide trumpet, trombone, chromatic harmonica and a loop recording pedal called Derek. And Kylie (who's played with Orchestra Victoria and the likes of Stevie Wonder and Barry White!) provides violin and voice in a perfect balance to Mal's nutsness.  | STEMfit Get ready to get physical with these five high-flying, frisbee-based STEM games. Are you good at tossing a Frisbee? Have you ever wondered how a Frisbee is able to fly so well? Let’s blend fitness and physics into one-of-a-kind fun! In this activity, you'll investigate how the angle at which you throw the Frisbee affects its flight direction and distance. Next time you're out tossing a Frisbee, this little lesson in aerodynamics may help make your throws even more accurate. |
