This unit engages students in an exploration of Epic Engineering through examining Queensland’s engineering marvels and the impacts they have on our lives. Students then explore the forces that act on structures and how simple machines make life easier.
Stimulate investigation into energy transfers, transformations and sustainable energy engineering using a Queensland Museum collection object – the Supernova solar-powered four rider bicycle.
Moving something across town, over the river, up the mountain or across the valley takes some thought. Build a structure to help move something light or heavy between two parts of the landscape.
