Arena Atomica: Skate-ology is an action-packed new show from World Science Festival Brisbane that dissects the science behind skateboarding in one phenomenal arena event.
Featuring world-class skaters, Arena Atomica: Skate-ology is a blend of sport and science, immersing audiences in the thrill of the extreme while layering in the mechanics behind stunts and the physics of motion.
Watch in awe as impossible tricks unfold before your eyes while leading physicists and sports science experts drop in, spot the fakie and bear witness to what seem like gravity-defying tricks in a quest to answer the one big question: how did they just do that?
Skaters include:
- Jesse Noonan – pro skater from the Gold Coast, running RocknSlide Skateboarding and the Skate Advantage Inclusive Program.
- Coco Crafter – 15-year-old Australian skateboarder aiming for the LA Olympics, with experience in world skate competitions.
- Tommy Fynn – top Australian skateboarder, a former Australian champion, and now a coach for the Olympic Committee.
