Plants for Space (P4S), in partnership with NASA and the Australian Space Agency, offers families and children an unparalleled opportunity to inspire with cutting-edge science, sustainability, and innovative technologies. Through hands-on activities with research experts and educators, P4S integrates engaging STEM activities with the excitement of preparing humanity for a sustainable future on Earth—and beyond.
P4S is dedicated to enabling humans to survive and thrive in space by developing new plant forms, products, and uses. Its four key missions guide groundbreaking research and educational initiatives – complete nutrition plant-based foods, zero-waste plants, on-demand bioresource production (for construction and pharmaceuticals) and equipping current and future generations with the skills and knowledge they need to address future space and Earth challenges.
Plants for Space is part of World Science Festival Queensland’s free community day in Townsville.
