Amber has been a wildlife veterinarian at Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital (AZWH) since 2006. Her main specialty is in the treatment and rehabilitation of koalas but her PhD (completed in 2017) is on diseases of Australian sea snakes. In addition to her clinical role, Amber is also the coordinator of research at AZWH, overseeing multiple research projects across a broad range of species and disciplines. Outside her veterinary career, Amber is a wildlife artist and gains much of the inspiration for her art from the patients she treats. Amber uses her art to reach people and educate them about how precious our native wildlife is.
