Caitlin Syme

Dr Caitlin Syme is a palaeontologist and collection manager for the Geosciences Collection at the Queensland Museum. Her speciality is taphonomy – the science behind how fossils form – and she has previously investigated the death, burial, and fossilisation of 101 million year old dinosaurs, crocodiles, and fish from Isisford in central-west Queensland. Her current role involves cataloguing, researching and helping ensure the perpetual preservation of one of the largest fossil and mineral collections in the Southern Hemisphere.
