Claire Hellio

Professor Claire Hellio is a marine biotechnologist at the University of Western Brittany (Brest) and the director of a marine bioprospecting platform (Biodimar). Her research projects focus on the valorization of marine biomasses. She is currently working on national and international projects, both academic and in collaboration with companies. She is a member of the ESMB (European Society for Marine Biotechnology) and IMBA (International Marine Biotechnology Association) boards. She is co-editor-in-chief of the journal “Marine Biotechnology” (Springer). She is in charge of an international master’s degree in marine biotechnology, taught at the European University Institute of the Sea and of student mobility at the University of Western Brittany.
