Darryl Potter has a Masters Degree in Environmental Science, and is the Collection Manager for Molluscs at the Queensland Museum. Over many years he has participated in both terrestrial and marine mollusc surveys throughout eastern Australia. These expeditions involved extensive collecting of land snails in forests, and marine molluscs inhabiting coral and rocky reefs. The identification and databasing of these specimens over 45 years have provided Darryl with an extensive knowledge of land and marine molluscs. He has co-authored papers for the description of new molluscs, and co-written field guides on both marine and terrestrial gastropods.
