Johan Gustafson
Dr Johan Gustafson aka @drhammerhead is a marine ecologist and expedition leader specialising in shark behaviour, including movement and behaviour of sharks and the interface between physical ocean processes on shark ecology.
Johan has appeared in multiple National Geographic, Discovery and Australian Geographic features, including the famous ‘Shark Week’. John has led many expeditions throughout Queensland’s marine environments undertaking animal movement research using tagging technologies on many species including sharks, turtles and whales. He leads the Shark Ecology Australia (SEA) unit at Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia where his work focuses on Hammerhead shark ecology, as well as Bull, White and Tiger sharks.
