Guy is a terrestrial ecologist passionate about conservation and the environment. He completed his postgraduate studies in South Africa working as an animal ecologist for South African National Parks before joining Griffith University as an academic in 2005. He as a comprehensive understanding of a variety of ecosystems with more than 25 years’ experience in protected area and threatened species management, wildlife management, conservation biology, urban ecology and conservation tourism. An overarching focus of Guy’s research and outreach activities focus on the transdisciplinary nature of contemporary conservation practice. His projects explore the interactions between species and their socio-ecological environment.
