Joann Schmider is a researcher and advocate most recently working with Rainforest Aboriginal Peoples to embed cultural knowledge in tourism, science, and Country care. She leads community-based initiatives, contributes to Boards, and champions Indigenous-led governance, bringing old ways into new settings through policy, research, and cultural authority.
