Julien Louys is a vertebrate palaeontologist and palaeoecologist at the Australian Research Centre for Human Evolution at Griffith University. He has conducted research on Australian marsupials, the community ecology of fossil mammals, and human and large mammal fossils, with a focus on the last 2 million years. Julien has conducted fieldwork around the world, including Kenya, Indonesia, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. His current research includes the megafauna of Sumatra and the underwater cave deposits of South Australia.
