Lee Kannis-Dymand

Lee is a researcher and lecturer at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Inspired by his love of the ocean and nature, his research focuses on awe. Over the past 10 years, in collaboration with his research colleague Dr Vikki Schaffer, they have contributed to our understanding of awe, particularly within tourism in nature settings. They have proposed a psychological model of awe that is informed by the research to date and contributes to our understanding of awe’s various characteristics. Lee is a clinical psychologist and holds a postgraduate diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from the University of Oxford.
