Dr Melinda Laidlaw is an ecologist and Science Leader of the Species and Herbarium Collections team at the Queensland Herbarium and Biodiversity Science Unit. Mel’s team of botanists, ethnobotanists, ecologists, mycologists and collection management specialists document and map the fungal and floral biodiversity of Queensland, research the place of Queensland’s species in the global tree of life and provide advice on Queensland’s biodiversity to a wide range of stakeholders, including all tiers of government and the community.
