Patrick Webster

Patrick is currently completing his PhD at the University of Queensland with the Research and Recovery of Endangered Species group. He is currently studying the ecology and conservation of the highly threatened Buff-breasted Button-quail – one of Australia’s rarest birds. Through this current project Patrick has been investigating the ecology of button-quail across Australia’s tropical savannas. In addition to his current project he has spent considerable time working with the Black-breasted Button-quail in South East Queensland and continues to be involved with research and conservation of this species. Through his affiliation with the RARES group at UQ as well as the Artemis Nature Fund he is actively involved with research and on-ground conversation management of the Golden-shouldered Parrot of Cape York Peninsula savannas.
