Jonti is an astronomer and astrobiologist at the University of Southern Queensland, where he spends his nights and days searching for alien worlds, and trying to learn more about our place in the Cosmos. Jonti grew up in the north of England, and discovered a life-long passion with astronomy at the age of five, when he saw part of a TV program called ‘The Sky At Night’.
He is particularly interested in understanding the different factors that could make some the alien worlds we discover more (or less) suitable for the development of life, and is looking forward to seeing the next generation of astronomical telescopes make a serious effort at answering the question “Are We Alone?”.
