World Science Festival Queensland took over Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre on 21-22 June and was a tremendous success!

WSFQ was filled with fun and educational experiences for all ages. Highlights included Dr. John and Dr. Lorelle Stanisic from the Queensland Museum, who fascinated visitors with their insights on land snails, including endangered species from the Western Downs region. The Queensland Museum’s collection stall showcased ancient fossils, stone tools, and interactive exhibits like the Flight Test, allowing visitors to design and test their own flying machines. CoralWatch engaged attendees with their Coral Health Chart, teaching about coral bleaching and conservation. The Street Science team delivered high-energy shows packed with humor and interactive experiments, inspiring budding scientists. Gladstone’s Hit FM kept the energy high with the latest hits and engaging games, while Raptor Vision captivated visitors with majestic Australian owls and conservation education.

Thank you to all our amazing activity providers and enthusiastic attendees for making the festival a resounding success!
